Frequently Asked Questions

How long has transitspotter been tracking the TTC?

Parts of this service have been online since October 2025. This TTC website launched in June 2026.

Can I rely on the line and run information shown here?

I take great care to keep line and run information accurate, but it’s provided for reference and shouldn’t be treated as a source of truth for real-world assignments or operating conditions. TTC operators: please consult your employer for information and instructions that apply to your work.

Can I see what a vehicle was doing yesterday (or last month)?

Nope. transitspotter doesn’t offer browsable vehicle history. Limited “Last Assigned" information is available as a byproduct of internal vehicle service logging.

Why can’t I browse schedules from previous service periods?

Some data from past schedule feeds is stored internally, but browsing previous service periods isn’t currently supported. This site focuses on the current service period; it isn’t an archival website. Other services, such as TransSee ⧉, may have historical information available for a fee.

Why does transitspotter sometimes disagree with another tracker?

Something may be off on this end, on theirs, or both. Please check official TTC sources before relying on the information. Like all Go by transitspotter services, this site is provided “as is” for exploration and reference, and shouldn’t be used for navigation. The full warranty disclaimer is on the About ↗ page.

How is the TTC site related to your other transitspotter sites?

All Go by transitspotter websites and software share the same idea: making transit operations easier to explore, with tools built for foamers, transit employees, and the generally curious. ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و

Is transitspotter maintained by one person?

Hii, yep! However, I frequently work with other developers and teams whose algorithms and software help enrich the data you see here.

Will you add other transit agencies?

There are currently no plans to add other agencies. There are plenty of other sites worth exploring, though! Try Catenary Maps ⧉, TransSee ⧉, Transit55 ⧉, or FleetSighter ⧉ for coverage elsewhere.

Can I suggest a feature or help with the project?

Yes! Join the Discord ⧉ community to share ideas, offer help, or talk about the project.

How does Responsible Use apply to this site?

Please be thoughtful about how you use, interpret, and share what you find here. Operational data doesn’t always tell the whole story, and details that seem harmless on their own may become identifying when combined with other sources. Explore and discuss TTC service with respect for the people involved, and don’t use the site’s data to single people out or make unsupported claims. Read the full terms in the Responsible Use ↗ guidelines.
